Success Story

When the programme was launched in the city in 2012, the students of Delhi Public School-Patna wowed everybody with their active citizenship. Students’ presentations at the civic fest were nothing short of exemplary, with one group even managing to interview the Chief Minister of Bihar in relation to their civic project on urban roads.

Upon hearing their concerns, the Chief Minister promised prompt action. Soon afterward, the Secretary of the Road Construction Department allocated Rs. 60 lakhs to straighten and widen the road, and ensure proper drainage.

Testimonials

‘A year has passed since the Civic Fest got over. Prizes, competitions, fun – all that have ended. But, what will never die out is the spirit ¯¿½ the spirit to bring about the change I want to see in the world.’

– Padmaja Runjhun, Carmel High School
